Two veritable creative genuises came briefly together yesterday when infamous Scottish comedian Phil Kaye requested a song from Queen of improvisation, Venezuelan pianist Gabriela Montero. What other song could he possibly name but Flower of Scotland. In a thrilling tour de force Ms Montero accepted the challenge but not before prompting a few bars from Mr Kaye who was then joined (rescued?) by the rest of the audience. She did not disappoint and fans were treated to a beautifully artistic rendition of Scotland's national anthem.
